My Reviews of the Best Hair Conditioners

Hey ladies!

I don’t know about you, but I’m ALL about having the best hair in town. I’ve been proud of my hair for years, but I used to struggle with some dryness and fraying that definitely cramped my style and made me the queen of frizz sometimes, which was totally not cool. That’s when I learned about hair conditioner for the first time. See, for years, I had just been using shampoos, and assuming that that was all you were supposed to do. Little did I know that while they’re cleaning your hair, shampoos are also robbing it of its natural oils and gloss! That’s where conditioner comes in!

Here are my reviews of a few good ones I’ve tried (and yes, I’ve done a lot of experimenting):

Bumble and Bumble Super Rich Conditioner:

I tried this out because my hair lady uses a lot of their products in her salon, and it looked exciting. I was pretty pleased with it, and it definitely helped with frizz. Sadly I found it a bit chemical-y, and I wasn’t thrilled with the scent. I would say it’s probably good for people with curls, though.

CHI Tea Tree

This one was my first effort to try more of  a green hair product. It was exciting to see all the natural ingredients on the bottle, but I just didn’t find that it worked very well. It seems like with the tea tree it’s more for your scalp dryness than for hair, so I would say that it’s probably better for someone with dandruff than someone with dry or broken ends.

Sexy Hair Health Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat

This was my first and last venture into spray-on and leave-in conditioners, which sounded like a great idea, but… yeah. I won’t be going back to it. Basically, it did a great job on the surface of my hair, but it definitely didn’t do anything for the roots, and I just didn’t feel like it was effective. If you’re often in a hurry and need something really quick, though, I can see where it would come in handy.

The winner:

My current favorite that I’m stuck on is Nature’s Gate hemp and argan oil conditioner. I’ve been reading more and more about how a lot of the chemical products we use aren’t actually helping our hair, so this is my way to try and go a bit more natural in the product department. This is all made with plant extracts, as opposed to so many of them where they say things like “essences” and “herbal” without using any of them. It’s vegan and cruelty free, and I have to say, it’s simply fantastic for putting moisture back in. My hair has never been this glossy without looking greasy, and I’ve been getting compliments left and right.
